STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. -- AdvantageCare Physicians (ACPNY), which is part of the EmblemHealth, will be opening a healthcare facility in the Staten Island Mall, New Springville.

With a grand opening set for June 24, the new 8,750-square-foot medical practice will be located on the lower level of the Mall next to Ulta Beauty, according to a company spokesman.

The facility will house primary care providers who take most major insurance, he said.

ACPNY offers a team-based approach to healthcare, and the staff includes nurses, nutritionists, behavioral health specialists, and other health care professionals, according to the company’s website.

WALK-IN SERVICES

The facility will also feature a Neighborhood Care site, he said.

“These sites provide members of the community a place to walk-in and ask questions about their insurance and social services eligibility, learn about stress management and diabetes prevention and participate in yoga, Zumba and other exercise classes,” said the ACPNY spokesman.

In addition, the facility will include trained neighborhood teams who offer free nutrition seminars, lifestyle coaching, group support sessions and personalized assistance navigating the health care and social service systems, he said.

According to ACPNY, the company serves more than half million patients in New York City and Long Island.

The new medical facility is part of the Mall’s 242,000-Square-foot renovation that brought a myriad of new stores and restaurants to the more than four decade old shopping center.
